We are in the purebred Beefmaster breeding business but in the BEEF business, too. We take both sides very seriously: breeding superior quality and carcass genetics, and producing meat that is tender and flavorful. Selecting, measuring, testing, gathering data, making smart decisions, and being aggressive in breeding the right kind have led us to our elite program. WB Bar Ranch donors and herd sires are hand-selected for their gentleness, production, profitability and carcass traits. We don’t breed and raise average Beefmasters; we only breed and raise the finest.
Our operation is located in west-central Georgia, southwest of Newnan just off Interstate 85 that runs to Atlanta. WB Bar Ranch is a working ranch that has been breeding registered Beefmaster cattle since 1984. We continually improve our genetics by studying genetics, collecting data and working with technology.
The WB Bar Female
Our females must have maternal production, fertility, great udder quality with milk, good feet structure, and great dispositions. They must also be efficient, raise a healthy high quality calf and do it every year. But it doesn’t stop there. WB Bar Ranch females must have marbling that results in a higher graded carcass. We are raising seedstock that are not just beautiful but are profit drivers.
The WB Bar Bull
Our bulls start with structural soundness with good conformation. Our herd sires are bred for high performance, big carcasses and balanced genetic profiles; they can work anywhere, no matter the conditions. WB Bar Ranch bulls are great performers in the pasture and we’re confident that their daughters will make excellent mother cows. All bulls are BSE and Trich tested and ready to go to work making your breeding program better.
We insist on low maintenance Beefmaster cattle that breed back faster and maintain their flesh better on less. Our cattle live in a stress-free environment and daily rounds are made to make sure there are no health issues and just to say “hello.” We have private treaty bulls and females for sale at all times, plus embryos and semen.
